How we make our books

We are a small independent publisher, and we use artificial intelligence to write our books. We want you to know exactly how, before you buy.

Written with AI, under our direction

We plan each series ourselves: the reader, the level, the characters, the places and the grammar each book should practise. The stories are then drafted with an AI writing tool (Claude, by Anthropic), chapter by chapter, following that plan.

Checked for the level

Every chapter is run through our own level tools, which check word frequency, sentence length and the grammar allowed at that level. Chapters that go over the limits are rewritten until they pass.

Reviewed, but not by a native-speaker editor

Each book goes through separate AI review passes for language, consistency and accuracy. The books are not reviewed by a human native-speaker editor. If you find a mistake, please tell us and we will fix it in the next edition.

Covers

Cover illustrations are made with AI image tools. The type on the covers is set by us.

Author names

The author names on our books (Hélène Varin, Luca Bellandi and Clara Whitlock) are house pen names, one for each brand. They are not real people, and we don't pretend they are.

On the stores

We answer every store's AI-content questions truthfully, for example Amazon KDP's AI disclosure.
